Weekly Chaplains at the Baptist House
Serving as a Baptist House Chaplain at Chautauqua Institution is more than a week of ministry. It is a chance for renewal, learning, and deep connection. You can find it in one of the nation’s most inspiring faith communities.
You will lead a small Sunday morning worship service at the house before the ecumenical worship in the Amphitheater. On Monday at noon, you can meet with chaplains serving at the other Denominational Houses that week for fellowship. Tuesday, you'll welcome visitors during the Denominational Open House (while enjoying cookies and punch). You will also host a Thursday evening Chaplain's Chat. You can shape it to reflect your unique gifts and ministry style.
Between service moments, you’ll have time to enjoy Chautauqua’s well-known lectures, worship, and music; enjoy the beautiful grounds; and build relationships that often last long after the summer ends.
